At 2 & 4 week old we use Pyrantel Dewormer for our puppies. Then at 6 & 8 weeks old we use Panacurr Dewormer. Then we use Safeguard Liquid Dewormer at 8 weeks old for 3 days in a row before they leave. If they are here past 8 weeks old we will continue using Safeguard Liquid Dewormer at the recommended weight dosage every 2 weeks.
For shots I use a Nobivac Single Parvovirus Shot Vaccination Vaccination at 4 weeks, then the remaining 3 booster shots I give are a Nobivac DAPP 5 Way Combination Vaccination at 7 weeks, and if still here then again at 10 weeks, and at 13 weeks. At 16 weeks I also do Liquid Bordetella Oral to prevent Kennel Cough. At 16 weeks I do Rabies, and the Liquid Bordetella Oral. My Vet recommends that shots are to be given every 3 – 4 weeks apart from each other. We never give our dogs or puppies the Leptospirosis Vaccine or Coronavirus Vaccine or intranasal Bordetella as it can cause severe harm or death to our furr babies.
We use Drontal Dewormer for our adult dogs and nursing and weaning moms as well as for our older puppies that we buy or keep back for our program. Drontal is used to kill tapeworms, hookworms, roundworms, and whipworms. After our adult moms have babies I give the mom a drontal pill for worms. Then I give it to them again at weaning or when the puppies leave. I just go to the Vet Office and give the vet my dogs or puppies weight and they get me a Drontal Tablet for the correct weight dosage.
To help prevent coccidia treat with Albon Dewormer for a few days before the puppies leave. Like 3-5 days. Giardia is killed using Metronidazole and Febendazole. Kennel Cough is killed using Doxycycline.
We make sure to keep our puppies in a clean environment that is cleaned everyday sometimes even multiple times a day so that they do not get worms and if I ever have a problem with worms, I do my best to make sure they do not re-infest themselves before leaving to their new forever homes.
For monthly preventions we use Nexguard Chewables for Fleas & Ticks and Interceptor Plus for prevention of heartworms and other common worms. On our pregnant or nursing moms we use Frontline Gold for flea & tick prevention and Interceptor Plus Monthly for heartworms and other common worms. I recommend these two products to anyone who purchases from me. I have been using these products for years and have never had any issues with them.
